January 1, 2009 VEC becomes Focus On Energy participant

May 1, 2010 New Rates take effect.

Electric rates are increasing due to rising  coal and coal transportation prices, new environmental controls and renewable energy production, and energy conservation and efficiency measures.  Most members will  see an approximate 4.5% increase. A member using 1,000 kWh will see a $5.93 increase.  A complete Rate Schedule will be printed in June’s newsletter

June 11, 2010 Old headquarters building sold Congratulations to Couleecap on the acquisition of Vernon Electric's old headquarters building.

October 13, 2010, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. National Co-op Month Open House. Vernon Electric Co-op will be celebrating with a special member Open House. Light food will be served. Displays available relating to energy conservation.
